Dave Jobe is an investor in women-and minority-led Fortune 500 companies, a longtime Austin tech executive, a dedicated people connector, and a rancher in Fredericksburg, Texas. At his core, Dave is an all-in advocate for elevating women and minorities in business. For the past 11 years, he has researched and invested in Fortune 500 companies led by women and minorities or those with significant representation at all leadership levels. Rooted in a 175-plus-year lineage of hardworking immigrants and trailblazing women, Dave credits his worldview to his family heritage. His Basse family ancestors were among the founding families of Fredericksburg, Texas, in 1846. On the family ranch, they have farmed peaches for more than 70 years and even grown the jalapeños used in Tacodeli’s popular creamy green Doña sauce. Dave loves welcoming visitors and sharing tours of the ranch.
Throughout his career, Dave has built and worked with diverse teams delivering meaningful, high-impact results. In the 1990s, his engineering teams in Atlanta helped propel Home Depot to become the world’s second-largest retailer and supported Coca-Cola in maintaining its lead over Pepsi as the largest global beverage company. In the 2000s, he and his teams contributed to U.S. intelligence agency efforts to counter terrorism. In the 2010s, he helped Dave has served as an executive at publicly traded technology companies, built divisions within established firms, carried a quota, and co-founded multiple ventures—including MentorTex, a mentor-matching platform focused on developing strong female leaders, and Yakabod (acquired by Everfox), a knowledge management technology company serving the U.S. intelligence community. He is an enthusiastic champion of diversity, AI, and data-driven strategies.
